100% Pinot Noir from the Upper Derwent and Tamar Valleys, 50/50 blend.
A lighter and brighter approach to Pinot Noir as with previous years. Two parcels of fruit from the north and south of the state, both handled similarly to bring the fruit to the fore. 100% destemmed with gentle handling during fermentation. Pressed off skins after 12-14 days and matured in old oak for 5 months.
Pretty red cherries leading into blue fruits with subtle spice and floral notes wavering in the background. Bright and pure on the palate with gentle tannins helping things along. The perfect growing season allowing for abundant expression whilst remaining lively and pure.
